The story "A Letter to God" is about a poor farmer named Lencho, who deeply believes in God. Lencho’s house and crops are destroyed by a severe hailstorm, leaving his family hungry and helpless. Despite his situation, Lencho remains hopeful and writes a letter to God, requesting 100 pesos to sow his fields and survive the crisis.

The postmaster and the other postal workers, touched by Lencho's faith, decide to help him. They collect some money from their own pockets but manage to raise only 70 pesos. They send the money to Lencho as if it came from God.

When Lencho receives the money, he becomes angry, thinking that God sent him the full amount, but the post office employees must have stolen the remaining 30 pesos. His faith in God remains unshaken, and he writes another letter, asking God to send the money directly next time, as he doesn't trust the post office.
